The national voice for the sector is the Social Enterprise UK, based in London.
In most English regions there is an equivalent network to Social Enterprise West Midlands:

Within Government: Currently the Office for Civil Society, located within the Cabinet Office, is responsible for social enterprise. In May 2010 the OCS launched its Big Society Programme which includes several policy statements on social enterprise. The Minister for Civil Society is Nick Hurd MP. More information
